Auto Sales
I was listening to Seth Godin recently talking about being exceptional. One of the things he said to do was to blog every day. OK Seth. I hear you. So, even though I keep a written log/diary, it may be something I should do.
I have been in high line car sales now for a year and a half. I have learned a great deal about people. This profession will bring out the best and the worst in both sales people and customers. In attempting to find out why, I invite you the reader to offer your own comments.
From a sales perspective, if you are only interested in making a sale, and not offering encouragement as well being interested in the person, you are going to find your view of customers get even worse.
From a customers perspective, if you are only interested in beating the sales guy down another buck or two, you are not going to enjoy the experience or get the best in service. Remember that sales people are people also. They have feelings and are under incredible pressure to pay their bills. Even though you are convinced you are getting a ‘ride’, remember that their profession offers you a very valuable service at an incredibly inexpensive price.
