Traditional English Egg, Potato, Meat

In England, they serve an English country breakfast at many restaurants and hotels.  I absolutely do not know how a person can function after this feast.  Try any or all of the following as you feel able:

  • Eggs – 2
  • Potatoes – 1-2
  • Canned Pork & Beans
  • Bread
  • Tomatoes – 1 medium ripe fresh
  • Meat – options include some or all on this list:
    • Bacon
    • Link Pork Sausage
    • Pork Sausage patties
    • Venison sausage

Prepare buttered toast as above.  Cut cooked potatoes in slices or shred for hash browns.  Cook in a buttered or olive oil skillet until brown.  While you are preparing this, cook bacon and sausage.  When meat and potatoes are almost done, cut the tomato and cook it on the skillet until hot.  Then fry eggs until easy or medium.

On a plate (or platter as appropriate), assemble the toast and place egg on the top.  Then arrange the other ingredients on the side.  Serve with orange juice and hot coffee (or tea if you prefer).  Find a nice place to take a 45 minute nap.
