- Banana’s either quartered or sliced – 3. They need to be free of brown spots and slightly on the green side of ripe.
- Lemon juice from 1/2 lemon
- Organic butter – 1/2 stick
- Natural brown sugar – 1/2 cup
- Rum or whiskey – 1/4 cup
Melt the butter and combine the lemon juice and brown sugar in a copper sauce pan. Mix and then carefully add the banana without breaking. Have two flat bowls ready on the dining table or bar. Heat for 2 minutes without cooking the banana soft.
Add the liquor. Check proper clearance above the stove for flame and light with a BBQ lighter. The blue flame is beautiful and sure to bring a wow. It normally will extinguish itself quickly but be ready to blow on it gently if it doesn’t.
