I am going to reference an excerpt from my book and also an article from Natural News.

The following is an excerpt from my book, Fighter Pilot in the Kitchen, A Cookbook For Every Man:

  • Purified hot water – 1/2 cup
  • Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar – 1 tablespoon
  • Extra Virgin Organic Olive Oil – 1 tablespoon
  • Turmeric – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Organic Coconut oil – 1 tablespoon

Mix all ingredients. Drink daily. Consider chewing 3 raw apricot seeds daily as part of this health regimen. (Research shows that this is a great way to acquire much needed Vitamin B17, which has been shown to help prevent all forms of cancer. Read “World Without Cancer”)

As a subscriber to the very fine news source, Natural News, I am going to add a link to one of the many wonderful articles.  In this article, the author talks about the Ideal Liver Fuels.  Since, as you can see, many of the following foods on the list of the article are included in the above tonic, I again feel very comfortable telling you how important these considerations are to your overall health.  Here is the list:

10 Foods That Remove Body Toxin and Cleanse Your Liver Naturally
Tomatoes
They have abundant amounts of Glutathione (see article above) which again, are a great detoxifier for the liver. As a side effect Lycopene in tomatoes will protect against breast, skin and lung cancer

Cabbage
The isothiocyanates (ITCs) made from cabbage’s glucosinolates provides liver detoxifying enzymes that help flush out toxins.

Turmeric
Turmeric is the liver’s favorite spice and helps boost liver detox. It does this by assisting enzymes that actively flush out dietary carcinogens.

Garlic
Garlic is loaded with sulfur that activates liver enzymes that help your body flush out toxins. Garlic also holds high amounts of allicin and selenium, two natural compounds that aid in liver cleansing.

Olive Oil
Cold-pressed organic oils such as olive, hemp and flax-seed are great support for the liver, providing the body with a liquid base that can suck up harmful toxins in the body.

Dandelion
Dandelion root tea assists the liver in breaking down fats, producing amino acids and generally ridding it of toxins.

Avocado
Avocados are the best food to help repair a damaged liver. Some studies suggest that only eating 1 to 2 avocado a week for 30 days can have a tremendous effect. Not only do they help repair your liver, avocados also protect it against toxic overload and boost your liver to work more efficiently.

Lemons
Lemons love your liver and your liver loves them right back! Lemons are a natural cleansing food and essentially one of the best to “get things going” in all areas of your body. Lemons provide a wealth of antioxidants, primarily Vitamin C, and they help your liver produce more enzymes which give you more energy and help with digestion.

Apples
Apples are rich in pectin, the soluble fiber that helps remove toxins and cholesterol from the blood, which helps your liver big time! They’re also rich in malic acid, a naturally cleansing nutrient that removes carcinogens and other toxins from the blood. Granny Smith apples are especially rich in malic acid, along with being one of the most antioxidant-rich apple varieties.

Onions
Like garlic, onions are also rich in allicin that flush out the liver and the digestive tract. They’re also packed with potassium, fiber, phytonutrients, and flavonoids that help your body do everything from fight a nasty cold to repel toxic chemicals. Onions may stink odor-wise, but they’re are a well-known detoxifying food to enjoy anyhow.

Leafy Greens
Leafy greens are high in chlorophylls that remove toxins from the blood stream while neutralizing pesticides, heavy metals and chemicals in the body to help protect the liver. Items such as mustard greens, dandelion greens, bitter gourd, arugula or chicory can be consumed juiced, raw or cooked to get these benefits.
