I seem to be one of those kind of people that when I discover something, I want the world to know. Maybe you are that way. Maybe not. I discovered by accident, one year ago, a book titled, “Wheat Belly“. It was by a heart surgeon and I purchased it on kindle. It was a read for me that I equate to a good Cussler or Grisham novel. I couldn’t put it down.
However, I am discovering that many friends either want a shortcut to the answers provided in the book, or don’t think somehow it applies to them. Nonsense. Your health is your second most valuable “possession”. You simply can not afford to give it over to someone else. Therefore, I advocate again to you, read the book!!
Here is a link I discovered today on a talk given by the author of the book, Dr Davis, on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=47QlothkpsE. I hope you discover for yourself the value of the lessons and apply them in your life and the lives of your loved ones. If you wish to add a comment to mine here, please do.
By the way, I have had a significant reduction in my blood pressure, dropped almost 30 pounds, lost over 4 inches in my waist, and many other major and positive indicators as a direct reflection of applying the principles easily outlined in this very readable book. I also edited and rewrote many recipes in my book, “Some Men Can Cook, Some Can Watch TV, and Some Can Do Both – Secrets of the Fighter Pilot in the Kitchen.” I hope you check that out as well.
So what’s the First most valuable possession?
Totally agree w the wheat thing. Good job.
A person must consider the work on their salvation as primary. Obviously, you can never stop working on that ‘possession’, any more than you can your health or your investments. Maybe the word possession is a poor choice, but health is essential to a quality life. I remember once doing a health seminar and stating that I wasn’t interested so much in a long life, but a healthy life. I hope to die healthy. Not sure what that forebodes though….
